Chronic Cervicitis is a persistent inflammation of the cervix, the lower part of the uterus that connects to the vagina. This condition often develops due to repeated infections, poor hygiene, hormonal imbalance, or childbirth-related trauma. Common symptoms include vaginal discharge, pelvic pain, itching, backache, and discomfort during intercourse. If untreated, it can lead to long-term reproductive health issues.

In Ayurveda, Cervicitis is correlated with Yoni Vyapad, primarily caused by an imbalance of Pitta and Kapha doshas. The excess heat (Pitta) and mucus (Kapha) lead to inflammation, discharge, and infection in the reproductive tract.
