About Founder
Founded in 1933 by Late Vaidyan C.N. Namboothiri, Dhanwanthari Vaidyasala stands as one of India’s oldest and most trusted Ayurvedic institutions. Established after seven years of Gurukula education, it pioneered organized Ayurvedic marketing and professional treatment practices during an era when Ayurveda was largely unstructured. Under Namboothiri’s visionary leadership, the brand gained national prominence by the 1930s, attracting patients from across India. His dedication to authentic healing and innovation made Dhanwanthari Vaidyasala a symbol of traditional excellence. In the 1970s, he expanded Ayurveda’s global reach by visiting the U.S. and Europe, introducing Kerala’s ancient healing heritage worldwide. Dhanwanthari Vaidyasala continues his legacy of holistic Ayurvedic wellness.
